It aims to provide an easy way to perform administrative tasks on your computer, such as creating and editing hard disk partitions. Comes with many Linux applications such as GParted, fsarchiver, file system tools and basic tools (editors, midnight manager, network tools).
It can be used for Linux computers and windows, as well as desktops and servers. This recovery program does not need to be installed as it can be caused on a CD / DVD drive or USB stick, but can be installed on a hard disk if you wish. The kernel supports all important file systems (ext3 / ext4, xfs, btrfs, reiserfs, jfs, vfat, ntfs), as well as network file systems such as Samba and NFS.

What is SystemRescueCd
How to use it
First download the ISO file for your build. Most people use the x86 edition which supports 64bit processors (AMD64 / EM64T). Once you have downloaded the ISO image file, check the checksum. Next write CDROM using the ISO file as a CD image or insert SystemRescueCd from the ISO image to the USB stick. Read Download and Heat for more details.
Install SystemRescueCd and start your program. Keep the default boot entry or select another option from the list. You can press TAB to change the boot options when you turn on BIOS mode (blue screen), or you have to press e when you turn on UEFI mode (black screen).
You may want to add boot options such as copytoram to copy the program to RAM or setkmap = uk to choose keyboard layout. Use spaces between options. Finally press Enter when you are ready to start. Additional options are listed on the following page: Booting SystemRescueCd

You can install linux file programs (ext4, xfs, btrfs, reiserfs) and FAT and NTFS partitions used by MS Windows using ntfs-3g with command such as mkdir / mnt / windows; ntfs-3g / dev / sda1 / mnt / windows). Working in the click space
If you need click tools you can start the click environment by typing startx. The graphical environment allows you to work with GParted (partition manager), use graphic editors (Geany or Notepadqq), browse the web and use terminals such as xfce-terminal.
To set up your network
SystemRescueCd can connect you to your network. This functionality allows you to backup over network, download files, work remotely using ssh or access shared files on a Unix (NFS) server or MS Windows system (via Samba).
The easiest way to set up your network is to use the Network-Manager service. Provides an easy-to-use graphical tool to configure the network. It makes network configuration much easier especially if you are trying to connect to wireless networks. This tool is available as a small icon in the task bar next to the clock where you are in the graphical environment.
